JONATHAN MCCULLY is a Belfast-raised, Belfast/London-based writer (or at least he likes to think he is).
He worked for over a decade as a human rights lawyer, but stepped away from the profession in 2025 to pursue his dream of becoming a playwright.
He has studied playwriting with Arvon, Theatre503, Dark Forest Theatre, and Commedia of Errors.
His first short play Specs was performed in London in June 2025, and his short play Resignation was performed in Belfast in November 2025. He is currently developing his play Dark Hedges, an abridged version of which has been performed in London and was selected for the INK Festival 2026.
